'Homecoming' by Periplum - Sat 18th October Kirkleatham Museum & Grounds



Join us in commemorating the 100th year since World War One began with a visually spectacular outdoor event 'Homecoming' by Periplum.  Local stories and people will be remembered alongside soldiers, nurses and munition workers who will be represented in this theatrical display.  It will also feature digital projections, pyrotechic effects, physical action, specially commissioned music, striking lighting design and other visual effects.

Other activities taking place:

Remembering Our War touring exhibition will be on show.  Also in attendance are the Friends of Redcar Cemetary, Redcar Branch Royal British Legion. Redcar Home Guards and One Voice Choir plus free Remembrance poppy making crafts from 1.00pm - 4.40pm and 7.00pm - 9.00pm.

Celebrity Movie Treasures exhibition will also be available to visit on the evening at an additional ticket price of £1.00 per child and £2.00 per adult.  

Tickets for the 'Homecoming' performance are £1.00 each, children under 5 free.  (This includes park and ride facility and entry into the museum).  Tickets can be purchased from Kirkleatham Museum tel 01642 479500.

Park and Ride:  A park and ride service will be in operation from Redcar Racecourse, Redcar Lane entrance from 6.00pm (near Redcar Cemetery).  Disabled parking will be available at Kirkleatham Museum for the event for Disabled Blue Badge Holders only.
